Mission Statement
The School of Arts & Sciences is dedicated to pursuing truth, advancing knowledge, and handing on the Catholic intellectual tradition in our teaching, scholarship, and service. Informed by faith and reason, we are committed to excelling in our individual disciplines and to teaching the liberal arts. We thus cultivate in our students and in ourselves a philosophical habit of mind that grasps the unity of knowledge and helps us live an integrated life.
Gregorian Scholars Honors Program
Contact: Dr. Nathan Kilpatrick
Open to students across disciplines and schools, the Gregorian Scholars Honors Program extends the liberal arts tradition by inviting students to engage great thinkers and texts, examine beautiful works of art, experience outstanding performances, and explore the natural and historical sites of North Dakota and the Great Plains. As a community of students and teachers that unites the intellectual life, faith, and our local cultural history to provide an invigorating atmosphere of thought and reflection, the Gregorian Scholars Honors Program invites students to various honors colloquia and events throughout the year. In addition, students will complete three semester credits of foreign language at an intermediate level. In order to maintain eligibility for the program, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 during all semesters of enrollment.
