Communication Minor

Program Director: Prof. Marek Dojs

Mission

The Mission of the Communication Program at the University of Mary is to prepare students to become courageous communicators who are dedicated to seeking and presenting the truth about humanity. Through a balanced approach to theoretical studies and practical application, students will be able to use and adapt multiple communication channels (voice, broadcast, advertising, etc) to serve the artistic, cultural, informational, commercial and advocacy needs of communities. A particular emphasis is placed on the Benedictine values of hospitality, community, service, respect for persons, moderation, and prayer. Graduates will be well prepared for careers or further academic studies in a variety of communication fields.

The Communication Minor gives students a firm foundation in the Communication Arts and allows for a wide choice of electives ranging from media production to business applications of communication.
