EDU 334 - Play Based Methods PreK/K This course explores further exploration of unique aspects for early childhood education. Students will continue to examine current, developmentally appropriate strategies, practices, and curriculum models specific to early childhood education. Coursework provides overviews of theory, methodology, and pedagogical understandings of typical growth and developmental stages of learning in a preschool or kindergarten setting - and domain area exploration of emerging literacy, math, social studies, and science. Students will continue to investigate the importance of play and the critical necessity of hands-on learning, as demonstrated by planning and implementing integrated lessons, compatible with co-requisite course EDU335. Special focus and practice includes additional required integrated fieldwork in an early childhood environment.
