EDU 215 - Foundations of Early Childhood This course explores the foundations of early childhood development and education of young children, birth through age 8. Students will gain exposure to historical and theoretical aspects, typical and atypical child development along a continuum, and early childhood terminology. An overview of program and curriculum models, professional organizations and associations, current local and global trends, as well as the code of ethical conduct will be examined. Course requires integrated fieldwork experience in an early childhood environment.
