Overview

The Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Performance is designed for students who enter the Occupational Therapy Professional Program (masters or doctorate) during their final year of undergraduate studies.  This degree includes all required pre-requisite coursework for the Occupational Therapy Program and the first two semesters of the professional occupational therapy curriculum. Students must be accepted to the professional occupational therapy program to complete all OTH courses. 

Progression Requirement

Students must be admitted to the professional Occupational Therapy Program prior to beginning the OTH 500-level of courses. OTH 500-level courses will be dual counted toward both the undergraduate and graduate programs of study.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon graduation the student will:

1. Understand the importance of health promotion, health awareness, and occupation in overall health and well-being.
2. Explain the socio-economic, behavioral, biological, environmental, and other factors that impact human health and contribute to health disparities.
3. Communicate and interpret meaning accurately and effectively through writing and speaking skills.
4. Apply critical thinking skills in problem solving to address health related issues.
