Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Programs of Study

In this graduate certificate you learn the foundational knowledge, including best practices, tools, and frameworks, needed to navigate, use, and manage cybersecurity.  After competing this certificate you will gain insight into the legal, social, and technical aspects of our technology driven society.  The classes in this certificate path are largely hands-on lab based, which provide students the ability to work closely with cyber technologies and particpate in active learning.

To be successful in this certificate, students should be comfortable with technology, be proficient in searching the web, be familiar with technical terms, and be able to use technology such as a Windows based PC.

For students pursuing a master’s degree from the Gary Tharaldson School of Business, this certificate can be declared as part of their program of study.

Students who do not wish to pursue a full master’s degree may instead choose to pursue a non-degree certificate program on its own. This program will result in the award of a graduate certificate on the student’s official transcript. Please note: when pursued independently of a full master’s degree program, this certificate program is not eligible for Title IV funding. Students taking this option will not be able to apply federal financial aid funds toward the completion of this certificate program.
