Outcomes
Psychology Program outcomes are based upon the American Psychological Association Learning Goals for the Undergraduate Psychology Major and the mission of the University of Mary. After completing the required curriculum in the psychology program, graduates will be able to:
- Demonstrate comprehension of the major concepts, theoretical perspectives, historical trends, and empirical or evidence-based findings and apply psychological principles to behavior and mental processes.
- Display scientific reasoning and investigation skills, including proficiencies in research methods and statistics.
- Demonstrate the capacity to bring psychological principles into dialogue or engagement with Christian anthropology, in light of the identity of the University of Mary.
- Exhibit ethical and socially responsible values and behaviors in personal, professional, organizational, and institutional settings.
- Build and maintain effective communication skills in processing and expressing information.
- Exemplify self-regulation, project-management skills, professional judgement, collaboration skills, and proficiency in workplace technology and career planning.
