BUS 686 - Managing Talent in an Apostolic Age

One of a parish’s greatest opportunities for witness in our post-Christendom society lies in its recruitment of and care for its personnel. This course provides a framework for instantiating an institutional witness to the Gospel through effective leadership and human resource management by addressing central topics such as employee onboarding and development, compensation and benefits, organizational behavior, communication, and the creation of policies that align with both Church and civil law. Students will also consider how parishes can embody the integration of faith and work by instilling in their staff the desire to grow in relationship with Christ while equipping them to thrive as apostolic leaders.
