CTH 471 - ENR Ethics w/ Catholic Studies

This course runs concurrently with ENR 470 - Engineering Ethics . Engineering Ethics examines the choices demanded of engineers throughout their careers by studying historical dilemmas, unethical choices made by engineers in the past, and contemporary ethical issues facing engineers. It is crucial that engineers uphold high ethical standards which place health, community, safety, and the dignity of the human person above profit when such a choice is necessary. Students are required to study, debate, and discuss engineering ethical and philosophical choices both simple and complex, and in the context of our Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine values. ENR/CTH 471 supplements ENR 470  with additional content from Catholic Social Teaching and other aspects of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition.
