EDU 522 - Creating a Culture of Greatness Students will learn how to cultivate prudence, justice, courage, temperance, magnanimity, and humility within a team, and how these virtues produce the solidarity and harmony needed for a truly cohesive team culture - one that strives for the realization of robust friendships and individual virtue, while still encouraging a competitive spirit and desire to win. By synthesizing prior coursework, students will demonstrate how creating a culture of greatness through virtue better serves scholar-athletes by helping them to transcend friendships rooted in utility or enjoyment and by forming hearts and minds that inspire a capacity for joy, even amid the sufferings and setbacks of life.
