CTH 315 - Catholicism:Global Practices&Beliefs This course explores how global Catholicism is enculturated in particular international societal contexts (e.g., Latin American, Mesoamerican, Asian or African or other contexts), exploring historical and/or contemporary issues to form a integrated global vision of human cultures and the Catholic faith. This course will compare global practices and beliefs to contemporary American Catholic life in order to demonstrate the commonality of expressions of Catholicism across cultures, all in light of an examination of the creed, worship, moral life, and prayer of the global Catholic Church using its major teaching documents.
