CTH 652 - Catholic Studies through Philosophy & History This course will approach a topic within the Catholic intellectual tradition through the disciplinary resources of philosophy and history in order to synthesize insights of both disciplines regarding the topic. Students will appreciate the nature and relation of the disciplines and the habits of mind they involve. Topics may include scholasticism of the high middle ages and its fruits today, the development of moral philosophy, historical approaches to being and essence, the history of epistemic ideals, the philosophy of Church Fathers, etc.
