EDU 665 - School Leadership & Org. Behavior


This course is a study of leadership theory and organizational behavior in education. Educational leaders must understand organizational behavior and the influence effective leadership has on the success and well-being of each student and adult in the school. In this course, students will gain the knowledge and skills required to develop a mission and vision, lead school improvement and change, develop and maintain a positive school culture, manage conflict, understand interpersonal and group dynamics, and navigate organizational politics. The course will challenge students to develop a theory of practice and philosophy of leadership that is focused on student learning.
