HIS 330 - Catholicism and the Modern World A comprehensive examination of Catholicism in relation to historical developments beginning in the Enlightenment and French Revolution. Treats the challenges and possibilities stemming from the encounter between Catholicism and the mode rn world as expressed In Ideas, cultures, and events since the eighteenth century. Either this course or HIS 310 /CTH 310 Catholicism & America is required for the Catholic Studies major; advanced elective for Catholic Studies minor. Upperlevel World History elective for History Education majors.
