CMT 360 - International Building Code Course topics include an introduction to the 2018 International Building Code with emphasis on knowledge pertinent to construction management and interdisciplinary fluency with design professionals, namely: navigating the code, types of construction, fire-resistive construction, means of egress, special inspections and tests, building materials and systems, and energy efficiency. The course will also touch on sustainable design issues and the requirements and management of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. The course involves a 2-hour lecture once per week.
