EXS 445 - Exercise Science Internship
The Exercise Science Internship requires a minimum of 240 hours (40 hours per credit) of field experience. The focus of the internship experience is to further develop clinical competencies, knowledge, skill and abilities, and prepare for professional practice in a designated area of interest falling in one of the following categories: cardiac rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, athletic development programs, or community fitness programming. The clinical hours involved in the internship experience may be applied toward required hours of practical experience for application for the American College of Sports Medicine Health Fitness Instructor Certification or Exercise Specialist Certification.
