Theology, M.A.


The Master of Arts in Theology provides a robust understanding of the fullness of the Catholic faith, uniting its intellectual, liturgical, and apostolic dimensions into a coherent vision of Catholic theology. The degree provides a strong foundation in scripture, dogmatics, moral theology, Church history, liturgical and sacramental theology. Students also select an area of application that prepares them to implement principles of Catholic theology in a specific ecclesial setting.

Program will be offered beginning Fall 2026. Offered onsite at the University of Mary’s Phoenix Downtown location.

Admission Requirements

  • Official Transcripts for a conferred bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Goal Statement

Completion of six credits of introductory/undergraduate Greek or Latin, or successful completion of an exam demonstrating the same level of proficiency.
