Research & EBP in Nursing Certificate

Healthcare quality outcomes and metrics of health system effectiveness are deeply connected to professional nursing practice. Patients and organizations are positively impacted when high levels of information literacy and knowledge translation science are prioritized. The Research and EBP in Nursing Certificate offers baccalaureate prepared registered nurses an opportunity to advance their competence in critique of research and skills associated with strategic systems level evidence-based inquiry.

For students pursuing a master’s degree from the Division of Nursing, this certificate can be declared as part of their program of study. Students who do not wish to pursue a full master’s degree may instead choose to pursue a non-degree certificate program on its own. This program will result in the award of a graduate certificate on the student’s official transcript. Please note: when pursued independently of a full master’s degree program, this certificate program is not eligible for Title IV funding. Students taking this option will not be able to apply federal financial aid funds toward the completion of this certificate program.
