Criminal Justice Major

Outcomes

After completing the required curriculum in the criminal justice program, graduates will be able to:

  • Evaluate the relative strengths of the various perspective/approaches to criminal justice to include:
    • Crime Control and Punishment
    • Restorative/Holistic Justice
    • Due Process and Legalism
    • Rehabilitation and Treatment
  • Analyze the role of the major topical areas in Criminal Justice to include:
    • Administration of Justice
    • Corrections
    • Criminological Theory
    • Law Adjudication
    • Law Enforcement
    • Research and Analytical Methods
  • Distill criminal justice data based on published research using analytical methods
