Catholic Studies Concentration

The graduate level Catholic Studies concentration is designed to complement the M.Ed. and Ed.D. degrees, particularly for candidates who desire to work in a Catholic educational institution, church, or other nonprofit organization. Combined with the following graduate degrees, the Catholic Studies concentration will count toward elective requirements (which vary by degree) and is designed to strengthen educational practices in light of the Catholic tradition.

- Education, Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment, M.Ed.
- Education, Elementary Administration, M.Ed.
- Education, Physical Education & Athletic Administration, M.Ed.
- Education, Reading Emphasis, M.Ed.
- Education, Secondary Administration, M.Ed.
- Education, Special Education Strategist, M.Ed.
- Education, Teacher Leadership, M.Ed.
- Educational Leadership and Administration, Ed.D.
The program of study will enable candidates to develop the capacity of mind to form a connected view informed by the truths of the Catholic faith. Candidates will develop an understanding of the complementarity of faith and reason within the framework of education that guides learning through an integration of the principles and elements of Catholic education.
