BCH 445 - Molecular Virology In this course, we will examine the replication cycle of viruses with a focus on retroviruses. An emphasis will be placed on the biochemical/molecular mechanisms and structural biology associated with the various steps in viral replication. In addition, we will explore the many targets for therapeutic intervention, and the already developed drugs against these targets. There will be extensive use of the primary literature in this course.
