CMT 321 - Construction Materials and Methods Construction materials and methods covers how structures go together, integrating the areas of building science, material properties, regulatory and legal constraints, and construction. Topics include construction methods of basic building materials (structural steel, light gauge metal framing, brick and concrete masonry, concrete (pour-in-place, precast), wood framing, and heavy timber), commercial roofing, curtain walls, glass, fire-protection, site work, interior and exterior finishes, and introduction to structural, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
