EDU 411 - Student Teacher Assessment Student teacher candidates must have obtained a satisfactory level of proficiency in a number of teaching skill areas prior to their student teaching placement. This course is designed to provide students with feedback on the Department of Education professional competencies. This assessment provides insight into the professional readiness of each student teacher candidate.
The student teaching candidate must provide necessary documentation and meet specific requirements before being placed in student teaching. This includes demonstrating successful completion of relevant assessments, obtaining required recommendation forms, showing proof of professional liability insurance coverage for the student teaching period, passing a background check with required agencies, and successfully completing a portfolio presentation.
