EDU 535 - Foundations of Literacy Practitioners in the elementary and secondary schools make effective instructional decisions that are based upon exemplary research based teaching methods for reading and writing education. Students will examine and apply contemporary theory and pedagogical issues and techniques in literacy instruction to include comprehension, word knowledge, social/environmental, psycholinguistic factors in reading and writing development.
