EDU 365 - Reading Instruction in the Content Areas This course emphasizes the importance of content literacy in elementary, middle school, and secondary grades. Special emphasis is given to various models of reading and differentiated instructional strategies for reading in the content areas, as well as best teaching practices in reading. Students in this course will utilize reading and study skills to facilitate vocabulary development, decoding skills, and comprehension abilities in the content areas. Focus of this course is to develop reading and study techniques to be used in content areas, both in regular classrooms and in resource situations.
