KIN 317 - Sports Nutrition for Health and Performance


A course designed for athletic training, exercise science, prephysical therapy, and physical education students. Content to be covered will include, but is not limited to, nutritional aspects of injury and illness, risk management, pharmacological aspects of injury and illness, psychosocial intervention and referral, and weight management and body composition. Other general principles to be covered in this course will be: eating disorders, weight gain and weight loss, hydration, and performance enhancing supplements, all of which are common among physically active individuals. Enrollment limited to students that have been accepted into the departments of Human Performance Sciences and Education.
