EDU 200 - Introduction to Education This course is intended to provide students with an understanding of the historical and philosophical foundations of American education and give prospective teachers a basis for linking theory to practice. Students will gain insight into understanding their role as teachers in shaping and sustaining modern education and learn about the teaching profession, learner diversity among today’s students, curriculum, instruction and productive learning environments in America’s schools. During this course, students will be invited to make application to the Department of Education.
