OTH 603 - Cross Cultural Occupational Therapy (elective) This course provides occupational therapy students an opportunity to participate in a short-term cross-cultural immersion service learning experience during which students will participate in and/or be exposed to aspects of work, family, social, educational, and healthcare systems in or outside of the United States. During the preparation, participation, and post-trip reflection, students will identify cultural differences, feelings, and challenges when interacting with a culture diverse from their own. Students will identify and implement strategies to effectively overcome cultural barriers and interact appropriately during a service-learning experience.
