Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA)

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal privacy law administered by the U.S. Department of Education. FERPA and its implementing regulations protect the privacy of students’ education records and afford eligible students (i.e., students who are 18 years of age or older or attend an institution of postsecondary education) certain rights to inspect and review education records, to seek to amend these records, and to consent to the disclosure of personally identifiable information from education records. The University of Mary has adopted a policy and consent forms to ensure compliance with this law, available at: my.umary.edu/ICS/General_Policies.jnz

You can also access the notification of your rights under FERPA here .
