Addiction Prevention Minor

The addiction prevention minor includes coursework aimed at enhancing comprehension of substance use and behavioral addictions.  The included courses focus on preventing addictions through understanding the history of alcohol and drug use, counseling, and prevention, professional responsibilities in addiction counseling, trends and patterns of addictive disorders, prevention models, and how to implement and evaluate an effective prevention plan.
