Degree Types: Bachelor of Science (default) or Bachelor of Arts (alternative)
Driven to improve the lives of people around them, students pursuing the Human Support Services degree are interested in serving individuals in their community. The degree provides an opportunity to pursue concentrations in education and community-based settings. This degree is ideal for students interested in professions within the human service field as well as those pursuing related post-graduate degrees that require an undergraduate degree.
Program Outcomes
University of Mary students who complete the major Human Support Services will be prepared to meet the needs of individuals by:
- Demonstrating commitment to individuals with diverse backgrounds, diverse needs, diverse values, and diverse challenges.
- Demonstrating the skills and knowledge to work collaboratively and effectively with families, community agencies, and schools.
- Demonstrating personal, professional skills and attitudes that prepare them for a variety of roles supporting people in schools, youth organizations, human service agencies, adult education, and community-home support.

Students will complete all of the core required courses, and select one of the two concentration options.
Option One: Community Concentration
Option Two: Education Concentration
