Degree Types: Bachelor of Science (default) or Bachelor of Arts (alternative)
The Computer Science major prepares students for careers in software engineering, system administration and management, computer and network security and research and development. Graduates also use their undergraduate computer science background (and analytical skills) to prepare for careers in many other fields of information technology. In addition to the core competencies of the University, graduates of the computer science program majors will be able to:
- Design a system to meet the needs of a business that functions within the legal, ethical, environmental, health and safety, and sustainability.
- Implement security standards in all phases of computer science.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of programming languages.
- Communicate technoligical needs to businesses.
- Understand the ethical and professional responsibility of computer science majors.

Required Courses:
Need a grade of “C-” or better for all courses required of the major, as well as any pre-requisite courses for the major requirments.
Students must also achieve a GPA of 2.5 or higher for all courses required of the major.
Total: 124 Semester Credits
Program length: 4 academic years / 128 weeks
