Wellness, defined as a multi-dimensional sense of being, includes the physical, psychological, social, spiritual, emotional, financial and intellectual domains. Students with an additional bachelor’s degree in athletic training or exercise science may also find employment as a wellness program coordinator or wellness director. The wellness minor seeks to prepare students to be stewards of their personal well-being and provides an expanded holistic wellness emphasis of study for those preparing for graduate studies in clinical exercise physiology, kinesiology, athletic training, respiratory therapy, speech language pathology, pre-medical, physical therapy or occupational therapy.
