CTH 656 - Catholic Studies Through Theo & Hist


This course will approach a topic within the Catholic intellectual tradition using the disciplinary resources of theology and history in order to synthesize insights of both disciplines regarding the topic. Students will appreciate the nature and relation of the disciplines and the habits of mind they involve. Topics may include applied Catholic social teaching, history and development of doctrine, history of Catholic spirituality, Teresa of Ávila - a doctor in context, etc.
