ELA 121 - LFSEBS ELA: Developing Leadership Students will explore the importance of teambuilding and communication in educational and human service organizations. This course will provide an overview of the Emerging Leaders Academy and an introduction to servant leadership. Servant leadership at the University of Mary is a pattern of living marked by competence in one’s chosen profession, courage in making ethical decisions based on Benedictine values, and compassion in serving the needs of others. Through group collaboration students will explore their own unique leadership qualities and begin to develop professional leadership skills with an emphasis on virtuous leadership.
