NUR 470 - Preceptorship This capstone course prepares the student for the professional nursing role and assists in the transition to nursing practice by providing students with the opportunity to synthesize knowledge, concepts, and skills learned in previous courses and apply them to a practice setting. It is designed to enhance competence and self-confidence in problem solving and decision making skills. This course allows students to provide patient-centered care in collaboration with a baccalaureate prepared registered nurse preceptor under the guidance of a faculty mentor.
