CTH 650 - Catholic Studies through History and the Arts This course will approach a topic within the Catholic intellectual tradition using the disciplinary resources of history and the arts (such as literature, music, visuals arts, etc.) in order to synthesize insights of both disciplines regarding the topic. Students will appreciate the nature and relation of the disciplines and the habits of mind they involve. Topics may include the 20th century Catholic Literary Renascence, treasury of Gregorian chant, sacred Latin musical texts, etc.
