BIO 366 - Phage Genomic Analysis Research This course provides an opportunity for students to conduct a meaningful research project using a hands-on approach. In this second part of the phage course, students will use various bioinformatics tools to annotate and analyze the genome of two newly discovered bacteriophages which were previously isolated in the Bio 365 Phage Discovery Research course. These annotated genomes will then be published in a national database, GenBank (the National Institutes of Health genetic sequence database, an annotated collection of all publicly available DNA sequences) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genbank/.
