MTS 460 - Montessori Teaching Practicum

Students will complete 120 hours of Practice Teaching in an externship setting in active Montessori classrooms. SIMS will arrange to place students with AMI trained teachers to complete this requirement. Students will present individual and group lessons to children during this phase of their training. 80 hours will be completed in 2 consecutive weeks, daily Monday-Friday. Students will complete the Practice Teaching externship in 2 different classrooms. Only available to students enrolled at the Southwest Institute of Montessori Studies.
