PTH 507 - Physiology Foundations The physiology of the neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and renal systems is the focus of this class. Oxygen and carbon dioxide transport in healthy and sedentary/pathological subjects are presented in relationship to diffusion capacity, blood flow changes, work capacity, and training adaptations. Special attention is given to the response of the heart during exercise and blood pressure changes. The pulmonary and renal regulation of total body acid - base will also be a focus of this course.
