NUR 341 - Introduction to Professional Nursing This course explores the role of the professional nurse as provider of patient-centered care. Standards of nursing care; professional value and judgments, therapeutic communication; and quality and safety concerns will be discussed utilizing the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) framework. The University of Mary competences and Division of Nursing philosophy, as well as Benedictine values, will be examined and applied to nursing. Professional writing will be introduced and applied in this course.
