ENG 470 - Composition Pedagogy and Theory This course introduces students to the major theoretical questions in the field of Rhetoric and Composition so that they might explore the histories, theories, and pedagogical practices that define the life of the composition instructor. Students will be asked to examine their participation in the field as future teachers, developing scholars, and student-writers themselves in order to develop a nuanced understanding of what teaching composition means on all levels– from middle school to high school and the college classroom.
