EDU 642 - Public Relations This course involves the study of the responsibility of school administrators, boards, and school personnel to cultivate a positive relationship with the community, staff, students, and the media to enhance the education of students. Ethical implications of policy initiatives will be explored. Emphasis is placed upon the leadership role necessary in effectively dealing with political issues, public relations programs, and appropriate role of the community in the education process. The course will highlight a positive, proactive approach to leadership that is necessary to create a positive educational image for the twenty-first century.
