ECN 101 - Economics of Social Issues This course presents a social issues approach to the development of basic micro and macro principles of economics. Contemporary social issues covered in this course may include the following topics: Poverty; Discrimination; Economic Systems and Social Well-Being; Price Controls; Pollution; Crime; Education; Monopoly Power; Professional Sports; Economic Growth; Inflation; Unemployment; Monetary Policy; Fiscal Policy; and International Trade. Additional social issues will be selected by the instructor and class as time permits.
